We suggest a 4 week follow up after your initial consultation to get you going with the process and 3-4 weekly monitoring sessions (30 min, R370) to help you achieve your goals.
Yes, you can. We stock a limited supply of Optifast products at any given moment for the convenience of the client.
The cost per product are similar to that of major retail outlets. We charge a R80 courier fee per order (2 weeks worth of product or more).
If you book a first consultation and have decided to try the Optifast program, please inform us, so we can have stock on hand on the day of your visit (no couirier fee for 1st order when starting on the program).
Yes, any teen or adult (we do not have the software for small children), unless you have a pacemaker or if you are less than 12 weeks pregnant.
We don't see children under 16 years of age, clients with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, clients on Dialysis or any clients with more than 2 food allergies.
Should you fall into the above categories, we will make a recommendation for a professional better suited for your specific needs
We are contracted in with all major medical aid groups. It is the client's responsibility to contact medical aid beforehand to find out wheter a consultation with a dietitian's is covered.
Unfortunately, we don't, mainly due to safety reasons. Our Blouberg office is wheelchair friendly. Please reach out to us if you are concerned about the accessibility of the offices.
Unfortunately we do not allow children to attend sessions with their paraent. Please make alternative arrangements for your children.
We would like to make the most of the session with you without any distractions.
Payment is due on the day of the consultation (at the end of the session). Should you make use of a medical aid claim and the medical aid does not pay for your session, you are liable for the cost not covered. You will receive an invoice from the practice via email (payment due on the day of receiving it).
Please respect our time and put your phone on silent and out of sight during your session with us. If your job requires you to be on stand by or available on your phone all day, rather book a Saturday session with us.
We do not answer any phone calls or messages during a session, as we want to make the most of our time with you. We kindly request that all clients do the same.
Earn up to 22 500 points for the HEALTH CHECK (if you are a Vitality member) + 1000 Points for the NUTRITIONAL assessment.
All members of Discovery can do 2 Health checks per year. This check is paid for from the Risk and preventative benefit - you will not have to pay anything on the day.
The nutritional assessment is claimed from your savings account or can be paid via card on the day.
